Little, Big 25 Project Update

Since February 2004, the Little, Big 25 Project has received a steady stream of subscriptions for all three versions of the 25th Anniversary Edition of John Crowley's Little, Big, the large majority of them directly from fans of the novel. Though the Lettered Edition is sold out, subscriptions for the Numbered and Trade Editions continue to come in at a steady pace. To everyone who has subscribed to and/or spread the word about the edition, many thanks!
Our original deadline for meeting our financial goal on the project was today, Friday, 31 March 2006. I must report that as of today we have not met that goal. However, after consulting John Crowley and numerous other folks both inside and outside the publishing industry, and exploring new strategies for closing the gap, we feel strongly that the goal can be met within the limits of a one-year extension. We have secured all necessary permissions to make that extension, but it remains for our subscribers to tacitly ratify our decision.
All subscription funds that have been collected are secure. If any subscriber does not wish to maintain her or his subscription, we certainly understand and will refund your money upon request. Of course, our hope is that every subscriber who has made it possible for us to reach this point will stay the course and, by maintaining your support, help us to finish the job.
